JIM ROUNSEVELL received a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropolgy from
Grinnell College in 1982 and a Masters of Architecture from the University of Virginia in 1990. While completing his degree, he interned in New York City for Todd Williams + Billie Tsien Architects. From 1991 to 1993 he worked in the offices of Clark and Menefee Architects, assisting the principals on projects ranging from a small addition, a vacation home,a private school and foundation to serving as the firm’s project architect for a large aquarium in Charleston, South Carolina. While self-employed from 1993 to 1997, he completed various small retail projects along with several residential renovations and additions. In 1997 he joined the firm of William McDonough + Partners as a project designer for an innovative environmental studies center at Oberlin College in Ohio. While volunteering for Habitat for Humanity, he was a member of the board of trustees as well as the designer of four homes. Registered in Virginia, he has operated his own firm since June 1998. |
