LOCHWOOD: Madison, Va

A newlywed couple desired a new home overlooking a small man-made lake on a family-owned 90-acre site just outside of Madison, Virginia.  Included was a desire to transform a neglected overgrown portion of the site into a more ordered form by developing a series of small, earthen terraced lakes wrapping a bluff of the new house site with views to the George Washington National Forest beyond.
